Full Biography

Drill Sergeant Barnes was born in Moss Point, Miss. He graduated from Moss Point High School and then entered the U.S. Army in August of 2001. He completed Advanced Indivdual Training at Redstone Arsenal, Ala., in March of 2002.

Barnes’ assignments include: 61st Maintenance Company, Korea, 588th Mainenance Company, Fort Sill, Okla.; Bravo Battery, 3rd Battalion, 13th Field Artilerry Regiment, Fort Sill, Okla.; 66th Forward Support Company, Fort Sill, Okla.; 1st Battalion, 19th Field Artillery Regiment, Fort Sill, Okla. His deployments include Operation Iraqi Freedom III.

Barnes’ military education includes: The Warrior Leaders Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course, Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course, Drill Sergeant School, Field Sanitation Course, Combat Lifesaver Course, Air Load Planners Course, Combatives Level 1, Total Army Instructor Training and 993 hours of training through the Army Distance Learning Program. He has 58 semester hours of college credit towards an Associates Degree in General Studies from the University of Phoenix.
