New -- Major road closures in the District Aug. 4-7
Please be advised that portions of Main Ave. outside of the Fort Lesley J. McNair portion of the joint base will have road closures during the 2014 U.S. Africa Leaders Summit scheduled for Aug 4-7 in Washington, D.C.
*Maine Ave. SW Eastbound between Ohio Dr. SW and 9th Street SW from Aug. 4 at 10 p.m. to Aug. 5 at 6 p.m.
*Maine Ave. SW Westbound between 9th Street SW and 12th Street SW from Aug. 4 at 10 p.m. to Aug. 5 at 6 p.m.

New -- Summerall parking lot closed Aug. 11-12
Summerall parking lot on the Fort Myer portion of the joint base will be closed Aug. 11 at 9 p.m. and will reopen at the completion of a ceremony to take place at Summerall Field Aug. 12. All cars in the parking lot after the lot has been closed are subject to towing at the owner's expense. For more information, call 703-696-3023.
Barrier Maintenance
There will be scheduled preventive maintenance on the gate barriers on the Fort Myer and Fort McNair portions of JBM-HH Aug. 5 through 7. Traffic interference is expected to be minimal. For more information, call 703-588-2810.
