Intelligence specialist retires following long career

PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. - A U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command intelligence specialist retired from federal civilian service at the command's Peterson Air Force Base headquarters March 21.
Owen B. Carleton, intelligence specialist with the G-2 office, retires with 40 years combined service - 27 in the Army and 13 as a federal civilian.
During the ceremony, Carleton was presented with the Superior Service Civilian Award; certificate of appreciation; three-star note from Lt. Gen. Richard P. Formica, SMDC commanding general; certificate of retirement; and a retirement pin.
