Sonja Brewer, the 80th Training Command (Total Army School System) Training and Doctrine Command liaison, presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Melvina Harrison, an Instructional Systems Specialist at the Army Training Support Center, Fort Eustis Va. March, 14, 2013.

Harrison accepted the award, presented on behalf of Maj. Gen. Bill Gerety, commander 80th Training Command (TASS), for helping to train approximately 24 Army Reserve instructors as the course manager of the 80th's Foundation Instructor Facilitator Course Train-the-Trainer program.

Brewer implemented the program through a coordinated effort with ATSC officials that allowed Harrison to train instructors from two divisions within the 80th.

The FIFC, which will replace the current Army Basic Instructor Course by Oct. 2013, stems from TRADOC Pamphlet 525-8-2, The U.S. Army Learning Concept 2015 which was published under the guidance of then commander Gen. Martin Dempsey.
