CSA Reads to Kids at Fort Belvoir
Army Chief of Staff Gen. George W. Casey Jr. paid a call on youngsters at the child development center at Fort Belvoir, Va., this morning to share in the Army's 233rd birthday. The general read "Happy Birthday Army," a new book by Army Youth Services to the roomful of 5-year-olds. Following the reading he took questions from the kids, answering one in particular -- who after a discussion on Army dogs wanted to know if "there were Army cats?" Next Casey cut and served the kids cake before heading back to his office at the Pentagon.
