REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. - A former astronaut stressed the importance of encouraging girls and young women to enter science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields to a gathering of U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command employees.
Dr. Jan Davis, vice president and deputy general manager of Jacobs Engineering and Science Services and Skills Augmentation Group, spoke at SMDC as part of the command's Women's History Month celebration March 12.
The theme for Women's History Month this year is "Women Inspiring Innovation Through Imagination: Celebrating Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics."
