The Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall Command Climate Survey deadline has been extended to March 4.

"The survey is used as a tool to assist commanders and directorates to provide a snapshot of the climate assessment within their command," said Sgt. 1st Class Michael L. Swinton, JBM-HH equal opportunity advisor. "If military and civilian personnel have any issues, this is a great way to let the commander/directorate know what is going on in their section."

He said the survey measures how a team is doing and addresses issues or concerns including leadership, cohesion and equal opportunity issues. "If there are any issues within your section or even with the management, we need to know about it so we can be aware of what's going on … from this, we can provide training or some type of education to help minimize the on-going issues," Swinton said.

The Equal Opportunity office provided the surveys to head directorates for distribution to employees during a JBM-HH command and staff call, he explained.

Completed surveys are to be dropped off in the provided box labeled "JBM-HH Command Climate Surveys" at the JBM-HH Equal Opportunity office, 102 Custer Road, Bldg. 203, room 309.

For survey questions or additional information, call Swinton at 703-696-8729.
