SMDC/ARSTRAT Commanding General reads Army Birthday story to children

REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. Aca,!" Lt. Gen. Kevin T. Campbell, commanding general, U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command, read a story about the Army's 233rd Birthday to children during SMDC/ARSTRAT's annual organizational day at the Rustic Lodge on Redstone Arsenal, Ala., June 5.
The new storybook, written and illustrated by Army Child and Youth Services, was published to help children better understand Army history and their role in the greater Army Family. The 24-page book is titled Aca,!A"Happy Birthday U.S. Army!Aca,!A?
SMDC/ARSTRATAca,!a,,cs Organizational Day provides an opportunity for military and civilian Families to come together for activities, lunch and fellowship. Events included softball, volleyball, horseshoes and other activities. There were also several events set up for the children such as face painting and games.
