HONOLULU -- Soldiers from Tripler Army Medical Center and U.S. Army Health Clinic-Schofield Barracks graduated the Army Combatives Course, Level 2, after weeks of daily intense training, Feb. 1.
Starting with 17 students, Jan. 7, only 15 students successfully completed the course. Special recognitions were awarded to the top grads, Sgt. Ikemefula Nwangburuka and Sgt. Constance Nichols. Both Soldiers defeated their classmates in a tournament style elimination to achieve the designation.
The class was taught by Sgt. Dominique Ramos, senior instructor; and Staff Sgts. Jason Bullock and Andre Williams, assistant instructors.
Also graduating were Pfc. Kiara Washington; Spcs. Jason Born and Jessica Bowman; Sgts. Jason Brauer, Jason Hutchins, Marlon Johnson, Yury Lopez, Alan McCormick, and Julia Terrazas; and Staff Sgt. Andrew Hershey.
