Anger & Stress Management

MCCS Henderson Hall's Behavioral Health Branch offers a continuing Anger & Stress Management workshop Wednesdays, 9 -- 11 a.m. Held in Building 12, the eight-part workshop's topics include dealing with stress, empathy, learning to respond differently to situations, identifying negative self talk, communication skills, adjusting expectations, time outs, and forgiveness. MCCS Marine & Family Programs

MCCS Henderson Hall offers a wide range of services to Marines and their family members throughout the National Capital Region and beyond to a 105-square mile area around Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall. Through a robust outreach program, the programs provide information on topics such as relocation assistance, school liaison services, education and career resources, personal financial management, and counseling support. Kindergarten Readiness Event canceled

The "Ready, Set, Go: Kindergarten Readiness" event scheduled for March 16 has been canceled. NEW -- "Lil Chesty's" Play Group To Meet

The MCCS Henderson Hall New Parent Support Program's "Lil Chesty's" Play Group that recently formed at Marine Barracks Washington meets Tuesday, March 26, 10 -- 11:30 a.m., at MCCS Post 5 classroom in Bldg. 20. The group, for children five years old and younger and their parents, includes story time, play time, snacks, and activities. For more information, please call 703-614-7204.

New Spouse Meet and Greet

The next New Spouse Meet and Greet is set for Tuesday, March 26 from noon to 2 p.m. at Army Community Service, Building 201, Custer Road on the Fort Myer portion of JBM-HH. It offers newly arrived spouses an opportunity to meet other spouses and obtain information on the joint base and surrounding area. Smooth Move class scheduled

A Smooth Move class is set for Thursday, March 28 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the JBM-HH MCCS Building 12. It is an informal joint service brief for service members planning to PCS. Learn about your new duty station, moving with TRICARE, arranging household goods shipment with the Transportation Office, Sponsorship, housing and more. To register, call 703-696-0156.

NEW -- Planning a Move for Families with Special Needs

The Marine Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) holds two briefs in April for families who have family members with special needs. On April 15, 11 a.m. -- 1 p.m., the EFMP briefs at Marine Barracks Washington, Post 5, Ground Floor Rm. 146. On April 18, 11 a.m. -- 1 p.m., the brief briefs in Bldg. 12's conference room on the Henderson Hall portion of Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall. In addition, the EFMP holds a program and support group meeting at the Fort Meade Community Readiness Center, 830 Chisholm Ave., Fort Meade, Maryland. This meeting is held in conjunction with the Fort Meade Army Community Services EFMP.
