FORT DRUM, N.Y. -- This spotted owl was found injured Monday afternoon on Chapel Drive. Spc. Jeremy Tretheway, a veterinary technician with Fort Drum's Veterinary Treatment Facility, was on his way home from work when he saw the bird on the side of the road. Recognizing that it was an owl, he pulled over and realized that the bird was injured. After coordinating with his NCO, he carefully transported the owl to the VTF and prepared a kennel. The owl was transported to a local animal hospital for further care the next day.
