GRAFENWOEHR, Germany -- Bundled up to protect against the cold, Kenna Hays, 4, sprints down the race track at the second annual Reindeer Run, here, Dec. 1. Over 200 runners and walkers arrived at the run donning festive attire and ready to donate to the Weiden Tierheim.

After a meet and greet with Santa, children 6 years old and up ran their hearts out at the one mile Reindeer Romp. After racing around the track, more serious runners devoted themselves to the 5K fun run/walk.

Participants in the Reindeer Run donated about 200 euros to the Weiden Tierheim as well as blankets and food for the animals at the animal shelter. The next fun run, the Shamrock Shuffle, will be held March 16. Food and gift donations will go to Wounded Warriors at Landstuhl.
