Dr. Ozden Ochoa, associate director for science and technology at the U.S. Army Research Laboratory, was recently recognized with the Wayne W. Stinchcomb Memorial Award from ASTM International Committee D-30.

The award, established over a decade ago, honors an individual who has made outstanding contributions, with emphasis on research, engineering or teaching the technology of composite materials.

As part of receiving this award, Ochoa recently delivered the keynote lecture during the 27th Annual Technical Conference of American Society for Composites held in Arlington, Texas.

In her keynote lecture, Composites: Dream, Desire and Design, Ochoa shared her personal journey in composites.

Receiving this award is a great honor for Ochoa.

"I am once again reminded of what a privilege it is to be engaged in research with my students and peers to advance composites into solutions that benefit humanity," said Ochoa.
