PRESIDIO OF MONTEREY, Calif. -- It's that time of the year: Holiday travel is just over one month away.

The Presidio of Monterey's Outdoor Recreation and Leisure Travel Services staff is working to make the trip to and from the airport a little easier--and cheaper--for community members and their families.

ODR is providing airport shuttle services to and from San Francisco and San Jose for all eligible patrons and their families. Eligible patrons are service members and government civilians. So, the whole family may ride on the ODR shuttles.

Shuttles depart from the Presidio Aiso Library parking lot and, for families or off base personnel, from the General Stilwell Community Center parking lot at Ord Military Community.

Outbound dates are Dec. 20-22; inbound dates are Jan. 1-3. Cost is $30 each way, regardless of whether departure airport is San Francisco or San Jose.

Purchase and print your boarding pass online for both outbound and inbound shuttles at www.pom-odr.com/shuttle.

You can even purchase your return ticket while you're on leave; just show the driver your ticket before you board the bus. The outbound shuttle schedule can be viewed online so you can select the best time to make your flight.

Make sure to call Outdoor Recreation if you need to be picked up at General Stilwell Community Center.

Also, while on vacation, community members may rent a car at a discounted rate from various agencies anywhere in the United States through POM Leisure Travel Services. Stop by or call to get promotion-code details.

For more information, call 831-242-5506 or stop by building 228 on the Presidio.
