Board candidates introduced

FORT JACKSON, S.C. -- Elections for the Fort Jackson School Board are scheduled for Nov. 5 through 9 during school hours. The elections will be at C.C. Pinckney and Pierce Terrace elementary school.

Two new candidates will run for the school board. Staff Sgt. Christopher Nealis works as a nurse at Moncrief Army Community Hospital. He said he is passionate about advocating for children to receive the best possible education and development through maximizing every dollar spent to fund schools.

Heidi Gin has been an Army spouse for more than 10 years. Gin has children attending both C.C. Pinckney and Pierce Terrace. She has extensive experience in helping children who suffer from abuse and children in the foster care system.
