WASHINGTON, D.C. (Oct. 22, 2012) -- A team of Eighth Army runners from South Korea participated in the U.S. Army Ten-Miler in the nation's capital, Oct. 21.

The Eighth Army team joined more than 30,000 civilian and military runners in the 28th annual running of the third largest road race in the world.

Jennifer Woods, Shannon Swords, Nerea Cal, Courtney MacKenzie, Daniel Bates, Austin Parton, Jason Bruch and Judas Perez-Camacho represented Eighth Army in the U.S. Army's premier running event.

Eighth Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. John D. Johnson and Command Sgt. Maj. Rodney Harris were at the Army Ten-Miler to cheer for the runners.

The race started near the Pentagon, made its way past the monuments and memorials of the nation's capital and then returned to Arlington, Va.
