Fort A.P. Hill hosted Hazard Communication Plan training Oct 10-11 at Romenick Hall. The purpose of the training was to establish a program to ensure the safe handling of hazardous chemicals and products containing hazardous chemicals by providing employees with appropriate information for identifying each in the workplace.

The training at Fort A.P. Hill helps ensure the workforce is informed of the chemicals they could be exposed to during the day and the hazards associated with them. Transmittal of Hazard Communication information is primarily through chemical inventories, safety data sheets (SDS), container labeling and training.
