ROCK ISLAND, Ill. -- The U.S. Army Sustainment Command, through the Army Contracting Command -- Rock Island, executed the first round of basic ordering agreements (BOA) with companies to provide logistics support services through its Enhanced Army Global Logistics Enterprise (EAGLE) program. The second round of BOA releases will be made on a continuing basis between now and Oct. 15.

Qualified BOA holders will be permitted to compete for the initial annual performance task orders under EAGLE. BOA holders will have the opportunity to serve as performance contractors under the EAGLE task orders to provide supply, maintenance and transportation services, as well as other logistics services, at Army Logistics Centers located at 73 Army installations.

EAGLE provides increased opportunities for small business to perform as Government prime contractors. All installation logistics task orders greater than $1 million and less than $35.5 million will be set aside for award to qualified small businesses. In addition, both small businesses and large businesses will be eligible to compete for task order greater than $35.5 million. If two or more small business are capable of performing these larger contracts, then the awards will be set aside for small businesses.

Task order requests for proposals will be issued immediately after the BOAs are implemented. Known task order requirements will be synopsized and advertised annually through the Federal Business Opportunities website: https://www.fbo.gov/; additionally notices will be placed on the EAGLE web site: http://www.aschq.army.mil/ac/aaisdus/EAGLE.aspx . Emerging requirements will be advertised throughout the year.
