DAVENPORT, Iowa -- Command Sgt. Maj. James E. Spencer, Army Sustainment Command, Rock Island Arsenal, speaks as part of the 'Tribute to Our Fallen," Aug. 24 held at the Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.

The evening event served as the opening ceremony for the ninth annual three-day event held to honor area service members, law enforcement officers, firefighters, and Medal of Honor recipients of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom who have made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom and security.

ASC Chaplain Lt. Col. Chuck Rizer gave the invocation that night and conducted a non-denominational prayer service 7 a.m. Aug. 26.
