The Iftar was a show of support by Task Force Protector for their Afghan counterpart as they observe Ramazan. Iftar is the evening meal when Muslims break their fast during the Islamic month of Ramazan. In attendance was ANA Maj. Gen. Ghulam Farouq, detention operations commander, and U.S. Army Col. Robert M. Taradash, commander, Task Force Protector. Each member of the Task Force Protector staff partners with the ANA Military Police Brigade in Parwan for the smooth and safe transition of the Detention Facility in Parwan. "Events like this dinner close the gaps and create strong friendships," said Farouq. In this photo, Taradash (right) welcomes Farouq (left) to the dinner. "We come together in a joint environment to enjoy each other's company," said Taradash. "Thank you for your friendship and partnership."
