BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan--Logistics Civil Augmentation Program held the first of two semi-annual awards fee boards Aug. 3 to determine if their performance contractors have earned an award based on performance above minimum contract requirements. The August board is evaluating performance of the Task Order 5 contractor and a board to evaluate the Task Order 4 contractor is scheduled for next month.

"The awards fee is designed to motivate the contractor to strive for excellence," said Tommy L. Marks, LOGCAP program director, in his opening remarks via video teleconference. "The award fee must be earned to maintain high standards to motivate the contractor."

Marks asked the board members to be candid and honest, and to make a fair assessment against established criteria of "what the contractor is doing to support your mission."
