FORT HUNTER LIGGETT, CALIF. -- Col. James M. Suriano will relinquish command of the U.S. Army Garrison Fort Hunter Liggett in a change of command ceremony at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 11, at the Post Theater. Maj. Gen. Reuben Jones, Installation Management Command deputy commander for operations, will preside at the ceremony as Col. Donna R. Williams assumes command of the garrison.

Suriano has commanded the garrison at Fort Hunter Liggett since July 2009. He is retiring from the U.S. Army Reserve with 30 years of service. Williams comes to the garrison from the U.S. Army Reserve Command at Fort Bragg, N.C., where she served as chief of the Force Management Division.

The ceremony had been planned for Bradley Park, but high temperatures forecast for this week caused the move indoors.
