CAMP SABALU-HARRISON, Afghanistan -- Maj. Gen. James L. Huggins Jr., commander, Regional Command South, International Security Assistance Force, toured the Detention Facility in Parwan June 25, 2012, to gain a better understanding of the strategic-level mission conducted at the DFIP. RC-S aides the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and Afghan National Security Forces as they conduct security operations, strengthen governance to defeat the insurgency, retain and expand security in key terrain, ensure transition progress, and improve conditions for economic growth. Task Force Protector is responsible for the secure, humane care, custody and control of the detainees in the facility.
