LTC Lizette Brown as part of her 5-day (March 14 through the 19th) Media Cooperative tour promoting the Tradewinds 2008 exercise, her Dominican Republic heritage and women in the US Army Reserve, was interviewed by one radio Station: FM 92.5, Nueria Piera Show, three TV stations; Channel 7- S.I.N. TV News Broadcast, Channel 11- Diventido con Jochy Show, and Channel 45-La Hora de Consuelo, two Newspapers: El Caribe and El Dia, and one Magazine: Mujer Unica.

Working with the US Embassy in the Dominican Republic, the 5-day Media Cooperative was a success in promoting the Host Nation's, Dominican Republic ideals of partnering with the US and the other 18 Caribbean Nations focusing on Disaster Relief, Humanitarian Assistance, Civil Affairs, Mass Casualty Evacuation and Personnel/Venue Protection and Internal Security. A total of approximately 500 U.S. Servicemen and women will participate in the exercise. They will be joined by more than 1000 participants from the region. Tradewinds fosters cooperation and builds trust among the participating nations and by doing so contributes to hemispheric stability.
