ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md. -- An operations branch chief was named employee of the year by the U.S. Army's Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center, or CERDEC, here, June 19.

James G. McDonald was recognized in the administrative team category as a member of the Base Realignment and Closure Team for CERDEC's Intelligence & Information Warfare Directorate, or I2WD. McDonald, branch chief for I2WD's Operations Branch, led the BRAC team that facilitated the directorate's move from Fort Monmouth, N.J. to APG.

The BRAC team spearheaded efforts to get the I2WD labs functioning in a timely manner. The efforts by McDonald and the entire team ensured the work of I2WD continued without disruption, supporting the missions of CERDEC and the U.S. Army.
