Lt. Col. Gary Cregan took command of the 403rd Army Field Support Battalion - Northeast Asia from Lt. Col. Douglas Pietrowski during a change of command ceremony at the battalion's new Korean Service Corps Humidity Control Warehouse Camp Carroll, Korea, May 25.

As part of the ceremony, Susan Pietrowski, wife of the outgoing commander, was given a bouquet of red roses representing the support she provided to Soldiers and members of the battalion. Yellow roses were presented to the incoming commander's spouse, Jill Cregan, welcoming her to the command.

Pietrowski bade farewell to the 403rd and thanked his colleagues, Soldiers, 403rd personnel, and his family for their support. He emphasized the importance of family and friends and acknowledged that without them, he would not have been able to execute the battalion's mission.

Cregan said he was happy to join the 403rd family, and excited to face the challenges ahead.

Before the change of command ceremony, an award presentation was held for Pietrowski and his wife. Commander of the 403rd Army Field Support Brigade, Col. Michael C. Lopez, thanked Pietrowski for a job well done and highlighted the battalion winning the Army Maintenance and Army Supply Excellence awards during Pietrowski's tenure.

Lopez also thanked Mrs. Pietrowski for her support of battalion Soldiers and their families, her participation in the Good Neighbor Program, as well as her volunteerism. Pietrowski's next assignment is with the 7th Sustainment Brigade at Fort Eustis, Va.

The ceremony was attended by 403rd AFSB Soldiers, civilians, friends and Family Members of the incoming and outgoing commanders, contractors, and 36th Korean Service Corps personnel. Entertainment was provided by Republic of Korea Army band.
