Gen. Martin Dempsey, 18th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Army's 37th Chief of Staff, joined Secretary of the Army John McHugh and Vice Chief of Staff of the Army Gen. Lloyd J. Austin III, during the Pentagon celebration of the Army's 237th birthday, June 14, 2012. Also participating in the festivities were mascots from the Washington Nationals baseball team "Running Presidents" and the owners of Georgetown Cupcake, who created a "cupcake tank" for the celebration.
