FORT HUNTER LIGGETT, Calif. -- As the summer exercise season rolls into full swing at Fort Hunter Liggett, C-17s roll onto Schoonover landing strip to deliver supplies, equipment and vehicles for Warrior Exercise 2012.
The aircraft flying out of March Air Reserve Base, Calif., will continue to support the summer exercises during the early part of the training. Air Force ground crews training at Schoonover Tactical Training Base come from across the country to assist in offloading the planes, cargo handling and staging for the exercises.
Exercises planned for June and July at Fort Hunter Liggett include a Warrior Exercise, Global Medic, a Combat Support Training Exercise and Castle IRC (Installation Related Construction), which gives Army engineer Soldiers real-world construction experience.
