Celebrate Marne history during Marne Week

FORT STEWART, Ga. - The Third Infantry Division is promoting esprit de corps and celebrating Marne history during Marne Week, June 25-29, using various locations throughout Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield.

The week includes, among other events, a Division Run, a Twilight Tattoo, sports competitions, Family events, a closing ceremony and a Division Ball (See page 7A for details).

The purpose of Marne Week is to showcase the 3rd ID, provide Marne Soldiers, Family Members, retirees and Civilians with four days of athletic battle focused competitions and Family-focused events, highlight Marne history, foster strong relations with Families and local communities, encourage regimental team building and build esprit de corps through competition, health awareness and a strong Family atmosphere.

The U.S. Army Garrison will support, provide resources, personnel, equipment, facilities and services in support of Marne Week.

The 3rd ID plans, organizes and executes Marne Week 2012 on FSGA and HAAF in order for current and former Marne Soldiers, Family Members, communities and retirees to enjoy themselves, build camaraderie and enhance moral.
