FORT HUNTER LIGGETT, Calif. -- As summer exercise season begins, dozens of trucks loaded with hundreds of military vehicles and other equipment arrived at Fort Hunter Liggett's Schoonover Tactical Training Base.

One truck then another backed up to the off-ramp where Soldiers unloaded the vehicles. Humvees, 5-ton trucks, Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT) tactical vehicles, forklifts, generators and other military equipment were delivered.

Exercises planned for June and July include a Warrior Exercise, Global Medic, a Combat Support Training Exercise and Castle IRC (Installation Related Construction), which gives Army engineer Soldiers real-world construction experience.
