Pershing Elementary thanks Army North for mentors and tutors

School faculty and staff members thanked the volunteers from their partner unit, Army North, with treats, certificates of appreciation and cards from students. Volunteers from Fort Sam Houston mentor and tutor students and participate in activities, such as science fairs, field trips and school programs, as part of the post's Adopt-a-school program. Miller serves as commander, Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, Army North; Figueroa commands HHBn's Headquarters Support Company, and Martinez serves as the special assistant to the deputy chief of staff at Army North.
