SOUTHBRIDGE, Mass. - Company D, 249th Prime Power, 302d Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, 412th Theater Engineer Command, was awarded first place overall in the military category at the 28th Annual International Lineman's Rodeo held March 21.

Brig. Gen. David Puster, Command Sgt. Maj. Cedric Green and members of the 249th, located in Cranston, Rhode Island, were in attendance to proudly receive the top prize for the Soldiers' proven hard work and dedication to their trade skills.

The International Lineman's Rodeo is a prestigious competition that attracts the best linemen from around the world to compete in events based on their traditional tasks.

According to the association's website, the annual contest is designed to help maintain a focus on safety and safe work practices, to recognize their technical craft skills, and to provide an opportunity for the professionals in the linework trade to receive recognition for their skills.
