AMC CG visits Redstone Arsenal
REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. - March 11, 2008 - (Left to right) Maj. Gen. Jim Myles, Aviation and Missile Life Cycle Management Command and Redstone Arsenal commander; Maj. Gen. Jim Pillsbury, Army Materiel Command deputy chief of staff for operations, G-3/5; Jeff Parsons, Army Contracting Command executive director; Tom Vajentic, AMC Transformation Team chief; Ronald Lewis, AMC deputy G-3/5 for Enterprise Integration and senior leader on site at Headquarters AMC-Forward; and Gen. Benjamin S. Griffin, AMC commanding general, gather around the HQAMC-Forward sign in front of the organization's newly-renovated transitional facilities. The group toured the facility as part of the Griffin and Pillsbury's day-long visit to Redstone Arsenal. HQAMC-Forward officially relocated to building 7612 from the Sparkman Center this week in preparation of the arrival of more AMC employees this summer. The tour also included stops at Russell Tower and the Propulsion and Structures Directorate; demonstrations of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, the Multiple Launch Rocket System motor and condition based maintenance; and situational updates with arsenal leadership.
