Camp Arifjan celebrates Earth Day 2012 by planting two palm trees and talking about the recycling efforts at the post, an activity that recycles, re-uses, and re-purposes cardboard, wood, plastic and reclaimed supply items for reissue to service members on base. The recycling activity here saves the taxpayers money by selling bulk recycled items as well as giving out "free issue" items such as printer cartridges, printer paper, and other items the military won't have to purchase again.
