USAMITC Passes the DAIG Inspection
Fort Sam Houston, TX. Congratulations go out to the U.S. Army Medical Information Technology Center's (USAMITC's) Information Assurance (IA) Team for passing the DAIG Inspection! The DAIG is the Department of the Army's Inspector General Program that focused, in this case, on IA. This inspection, which covered 15 areas, audited the cyber security of the enterprise system for the U.S. Army Medical Command, or MEDCOM. This inspection has had a 26% passing rate through fiscal year 2011, and it involved personnel and components from every division within USAMITC. Their contributions allowed the organization to be recognized by the DAIG Inspection Team, who adopted four processes as Best Business Practices for the Department of the Army. "The IA Division served as intermediaries between the inspectors and USAMITC," said Willie Arrington, USAMITC's IA Division Chief. "And we're all committed to doing the best we can do. Every member of USAMITC exhibited their personal endeavors, commitment and diligence resulting in the successful outcome of this mission," he said. U.S. Army photo by Kenneth Blair Hogue
