Red River Army Depot recently completed its annual Combined Federal Campaign. The depot set its goal for the 2012 CFC campaign at $135,000. We are very pleased to announce the goal was met and exceeded! Depot employees selflessly contributed more than $140,000.

This year's campaign commemorates the 50th Anniversary of CFC. The mission of the CFC is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.

CFC has more than 200 campaigns held throughout the country and internationally that raises millions of dollars each year.

Established by President John F. Kennedy, the CFC is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, thanks to the generous contributions of both civilian and military Federal employees.

Over the last 50 years, the CFC has raised nearly $7 billion to help combat disease, protect our planet, feed the hungry and lift up individuals and communities at home and around the world.

The outpouring of kindness from our nation's public servants reflects the American spirit of compassion, and reminds each of us of the profound impact we can have when we join together in common cause.

We are already looking forward to next year's campaign. We understand that our economy may not be at its best, but when we work as a team we can accomplish great things and demonstrate our caring nature in helping those in need. With your selfless contributions we will continue to achieve success and contribute to one of our country's most recognized charity foundations.
