FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. -- Residents of Fort Leonard Wood received a special visit from Santa Claus and his elves, Dec. 22.

Santa made his way through the housing areas at Fort Leonard Wood on a fire truck for the annual Candy Cane Toss.

In addition to handing out candy canes, the purpose of his visit was to check his list and check it twice.

"Gonna find out who's naughty and nice," Santa exclaimed.

Children of all ages received a candy cane.

This year's visit was hosted by the installation's Directorate of Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation with support from the local community.
