Hall, the 11th SMA sitting second from the right, fields a question from a Sergeants Major Course Class 58 student as five other former SMAs listen at the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy East Auditorium Jan. 7. Half of the Army's 12 former SMAs showed for the annual event and provided some savvy straight talk about a range of issues from the presidential race to what it takes to succeed as a leader in today's Army.
