HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command leadership and employees participated in the Veterans Memorial Park Opening Ceremony and Ribbon Cutting followed by the Veterans Day Parade Nov. 11 in Huntsville, Ala.

Lt. Gen. Richard Formica, commanding general, SMDC, gave remarks during the ceremony stating the memorial is "a fitting tribute to our veterans, who are visible reminders in our communities of duty, sacrifice, patriotism and our nation's enduring commitment to its values."

As the parade got underway, Formica, the parade reviewing officer, and Command Sgt. Maj. Larry Turner cheered and waved to participants thanking them for their participation.
