October 21, 2011
FORT BRAGG, N.C. (Oct. 21, 2011) Lt. Gen. Howard B. Bromberg, deputy commanding general and chief of staff, U.S. Army Forces Command, presented FORSCOM certificates of appreciation to 29 Soldiers and Army civilian employees for the leadership they demonstrated from August 2010 to September 2011 in laying the groundwork and ensuring the smoothest possible transition of the main body from Fort McPherson, Ga., to here.
"Your initiative and dedication to mission accomplishment were instrumental in the planning, coordination and execution of the relocation of Army Forces Command," Bromberg said. "Your knowledge, professionalism and attention to detail ensured mission continuity of a four-star headquarters during the move of more than 2,400 Soldiers and civilians."
The relocation was required in order to comply with the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure legislation.
