WASHINGTON, D.C. - The top U.S. military leaders in Korea honored the memory of those who died in the Korean War during a wreath laying ceremony at the Korean War Memorial here Oct. 11.

Accompanied by Republic of Korea-United States Alliance officials and Korean War veterans, Gen. James D. Thurman, commander of United Nations Command, Combined Forces Command and U.S. Forces Korea, and Eighth Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. John D. Johnson participated in the event.

Conducted annually, this year's memorial event marked the 61st anniversary of the Korean War.
