Command Sergeant Major Kennis J. Dent serves as the command sergeant major for the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command headquartered at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.
A native of Huntsville, Alabama, he enlisted in the U.S. Army in Oct., 1982. He completed Basic Training at Fort Jackson, S.C., and Advance Individual Training at Fort Gordon, GA, as a Radio Teletypewriter Operator.
CSM Dent is a graduate of the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy. He also graduated from the First Sergeant Course; The Army Force Management Course; SATCOM Terminal Operation Course; Instructor Training Course; USAFE AN/GSC-40 Satellite Course; Radio Operator Course; Drill Sergeant Course; Primary Leadership Development Course; and the Basic and Advance Noncommissioned Officer Courses.
