WASHINGTON, (Oct. 13, 2011)--Maj. Gen. Al Aycock (far left), U.S. Army
Installation Management Command deputy commanding general hosts and
facilitates an Institute of Land Warfare (ILW) panel discussion titled
Transforming Soldier and Family Support for the Army of 2020. Topics
discussed during this session were: how the Army is committed to the Army
Family Covenant (AFC), transformation of Soldier and Family programs to
maximize well-being and increase readiness for the Army of 2020, the Army's focus on setting the right priorities to improve/enhance/ streamline
existing programs instead of building new ones and ensuring a resilient and combat ready all-volunteer force. Other members of the panel included
Katherine Hammack, Assistant Secretary of the Army (Installations, Energy &
Environment), Honorable Anthony J. Stamilio, Deputy Assistant Secretary of
the Army, Manpower and Reserve Affairs Civilian personnel/Quality of Life,
