US Army All American Bowl Selection Tour Kicks Off in Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY (Oct. 4, 2011) The U.S. Army All American Bowl selection tour kicked off today across the country with major events in Oklahoma City, Okla., Los Angeles, Calif. and Charlotte, N.C. Over the next few months the selection tour will visit 170 cities throughout the U.S. and select 90 players and 100 bandsmen to be part of the U.S. Army All American Bowl held in San Antonio, Texas, on January 7, 2012, aired on NBC.

The All-American Bowl is the Army's largest outreach event the U.S. Army undertakes and assists recruiters with establishing relations with parents, school administration officials and band directors. During the game the U.S. Army will honor many Soldier Heroes attending the game and throughout the week.

During the week prior to the game, the U.S. Army showcases many exhibits and outstanding accomplishments including newly developed technologies used in today's Army. Events and exhibits are open to the public.
