215th Quartermaster Det. Deactivation

CONROE Texas- COL Richard Staats, Commander, 211th Regional Support Group (right) and LTC Garrett Ide, Commander, 373d Combat Sustainment Support Battalion case the 215th Quartermaster Detachments guidon during the deactivation ceremony on 24 September 2011. The 215th Quartermaster Detachment activated September 1992, its peace time mission was to provide hands on training, warehouse Class IX aircraft repair parts for aviation support.
The 373d Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 211th regional Support Group activated the 242nd Quartermaster Company, 310th Quartermaster Detachment and the 331st Quartermaster Team.
The 242nd Quartermaster Company's mission will be to provide Direct Support Shower, Laundry and Clothing Repair (SLCR) support for divisional and non-divisional troops on an area basis. The 310th Quartermaster Detachment mission will be to provide liaison and coordination for bulk petroleum support between U.S., allied forces and host nations. The 331st Quartermaster Team's mission is to operate a petroleum laboratory used to perform complete specification and procurement testing of petroleum products received for support units. Also activated is the 31st Transportation Detachment assigned to the 348th Transportation Battalion, that will operate a Trailer transfer Point or Convoy Support Center supporting line haul, direct haul, local haul and shuttle --relay motor transport operations.
