Lt. Col. Linwood C. Wright was presented the Legion of Merit Medal in appreciation for his service from August 2001 to July 2011 during an awards ceremony Aug. 30, 2011, hosted by Maj. Gen. Michael S. Linnington, commanding general of the Joint Force Headquarters - National Capital Region/U.S. Army Military district of Washington (JFHQ-NCR/MDW) at Fort McNair.

Wright recently retired from the army with 28 years of service and finished his career as the Equal Opportunity Program Manager at JFHQ-NCR/MDW.
