BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan--Soldiers wearing full ‘battle rattle’ monitored casualties on stretchers following an explosion in the AFSBn-Bagram, 401st Army Field Support Brigade’s paint booth July 9 while anxiously waiting for ambulances to arrive.

The scene was tense as casualties moaned and called out for help. Fortunately there were no real injuries, only moulage and practice bandages and tourniquets as part of the Bagram Airfield mass casualty exercise. The AFBSn-Bagram, 401st Army Field Support Brigade joined the training as a secondary site to both practice their procedures for caring for victims and accounting for personnel.
