REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala.--AMCOM commander Maj. Gen. Jim Rogers shared his leadership philosophy Friday with members of a senior leader development program.

“When you’re in a leadership position, you’ve got to accept the challenge,” Rogers told the Senior Service College Fellows, Defense Acquisition University.

He congratulated the 10 civilians on their selection to the 10-month program. It was their first week; and graduation is scheduled May 23.

“Your organization will take on your attitude,” Rogers advised the future leaders.

He outlined his command philosophy, which includes the following: integrity, safety, mission, leadership, accountability, family, personal readiness, awards, counseling, team, accept the challenge, and transformation.

“It starts with integrity,” Rogers said.
