Afghan Maj. Gen. Qadem Shah, 111th Capital Division commander, met with Army Brig. Gen. Tom Cosentino, deputy commander, Regional Support, NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan/Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan, June 26 at DCOM-RS headquarters June 26 at Camp Eggers, Kabul, Afghanistan.

The main topic of discussion was the Holding Kandak at South Kabul Afghanistan International Airport. Plans to accommodate an increase in Afghan National Security Force personnel that come through the Holding Kandak while on leave were discussed and approved.

The new plan calls for accommodating up to 600 people, twice the current amount. The Regional Support Command-Capital will be responsible for contracting and serving as the contracting officer’s representative during the project.
