NCOs lead the way!
May 31, 2011
BAGRAM AIR BASE, Afganistan -- Sgt. 1st Class Clayton Vanlangendonck, left, and Sgt. 1st Class Alpi Reyes, right, U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command noncommissioned officers serving with Combined Joint Task Force-1, Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan, were summoned May 27 by Command Sgt. Maj. Isaia Vimoto to talk about Science & Technology successes and demonstrate recent technology initiatives.
As a result of that meeting, Vimoto requested the two NCOs have a personal session with visiting Sergeant Major of the Army Raymond Chandler, center, later that day. Again, they demonstrated recent Soldier initiatives (i.e. the Ironman Large Ammunition Capacity backpack and the Revision Mandible Helmet). The SMA was reportedly impressed and presented coins to both NCOs.
